The Danube Commission was represented at the 64th Conference of the Directors of Danube shipping companies – Members of Bratislava Agreements
On 24th of October 2019, the General Director of the Secretariat of the Danube Commission, Mr. Manfred Seitz took part in the 64th Conference of the Directors of Danube Shipping Companies – Members of Bratislava Agreements which was organized in Poiana – Brasov, Romania.
The participants to the Conference addressed key issues concerning the actual situation of Danube navigation as well as the problems faced by the shipping companies such as fairway problems and administrative barriers for transport of cargo.
The Conference constituted an optimal platform for the representative of the DC to consult with the Danube navigation industry and to understand the needs and wishes of the sector. It also provided an excellent opportunity to inform the sector of forthcoming activities of the Danube Commission and to agree on a closer cooperation for the future.
